Job title: Clinical Manager
Job duties: Responsible for managing daily operations of the medical practice and developing strategies in providing excellent patient services; schedule ophthalmic technicians and prepare weekly schedules for physician; place medical orders and develop new procedures to improve efficiency and ensure smooth flow of patient services; attend and develop community educational program for people at large, especially on prevention and treatment of eye diseases. The specific job duties include: manage the medical professional services; responsible for the day-to-day operations including the staffing of the patient visits; ensure that an adequate quantity and quality of staff are available and scheduled according to the needs of patients; provide and schedule training on an individual basis as appropriate; communicate recommendations and requirements for additional medical services for patients to the appropriate individuals in a timely manner; refer patients and/or patients' families to social work staff for assistance with financial and/or other concerns when appropriate; develop and implement systems for tracking and monitoring services requirements; ensure the smooth function to provide a safe and high level of quality patient care; responsible for the quality of the medical and professional services; ensure patient's medical record documentation reflects delivery of quality and safe medical services; monitor patient care for compliance with defined patient plan of care; ensure that all doctor’s orders are current and being followed by medical personnel; ensure medical care is implemented according to the physician's plan of treatment; develop and implement efficient medical delivery systems; develop policies and procedures; responsible for program development including the development of medical pathways, medical productivity, and for the intake and referral process for patients; develop and implement office policies and procedures including the patient care policy manual; ensure compliance of operations with federal, state, and local rules and regulations; create and implement policies to comply with HIPAA, and infection control; ensure proper maintenance of medical record as prescribed and in compliance with local, state, and federal laws; schedule case conference meetings; participate in medical record reviews and other regularly scheduled meetings for evaluation and review as needed; promote community educational programs; stay informed about changes about CMS rules and regulations, and share information with doctor and office staff; perform updates to policies and procedures that are compliant with CMS requirements and Medicaid/Medicare requirements; maintain EyeMD EMR Database for patient electronic medical records and patient portal settings, ensuring all medical records are in compliance with HIPPA and CMS requirements; develop efficient office procedures and delivery systems in support of more efficient and effective medical service flow. Note: no supervising responsibilities.
Job Requirement: Master’s degree with a major in medical science (including biology), health science, or a related field.
The salary offer is $96,554 per annum
